After working as an architect and interior designer for more than two decades, the challenge of sourcing well-crafted, materials in the Southwest and Intermountain regions of the U.S. were clear. Surface Resources founder Heidi Steele solved this by forming an agency dedicated to sourcing resilient flooring and tiles with resounding international acclaim and a team of expert educators to aid local architects, designers and other industry professionals. Her cross-disciplinary background gives Heidi a unique perspective as the leader of a sales representative agency and wholesale distribution company sharing an educational mission. Over the last twelve years, this approach solidified her reputation for achieving significant impact on shaping the industry.
